Clean sport is a team effort. Kickboxing GB follows the UK Anti-Doping rules and the World Anti-Doping Code.
Our commitment
Kickboxing GB is committed to fair play and integrity through anti-doping. The World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) is recognised by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), in line with global anti-doping standards.
As a National Federation, we champion clean sport by informing and educating our athletes and the people who support them. We follow UK Anti-Doping's (UKAD) programme of deterrence, detection and education, so we stay compliant with the UK's National Anti-Doping Policy.
Our rules
Kickboxing GB's anti-doping rules are the UK Anti-Doping rules published by UK Anti-Doping Limited (or its successor), as amended from time to time. They take effect as rules of Kickboxing GB.
GB Team athletes and support staff
Must hold the UKAD certifications set out in the Kickboxing GB National Team Selection Policy.
With Kickboxing GB's reorganisation and the sport's recognition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), following the UK's National Anti-Doping Policy is now a requirement for public funding and a key step towards Olympic readiness.

Strict liability
Athletes are solely responsible for anything found in their system, however it got there and whether or not they meant to cheat. UKAD's 100% me programme supports you throughout your sporting journey.
Doping is defined in the World Anti-Doping Code as one or more Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) — it's much more than a positive test.
